The price of a website with AI

Pick a time slot

AI lowers the cost of building a website, but only for repetitive work: understanding the need, making decisions, checking and maintaining the site still take human time. For a small business, the right question isn't "how much does AI save?" but "what gets checked before launch?". That's Oeuvria's method: AI to move fast, human checking to deliver right.

AI has entered the web agency workshop

According to Stack Overflow's 2026 Developer Survey (30,903 responses overall), coding assistants and agents are the dominant use of AI among developers: 66% of respondents cite them, ahead of general-purpose chatbots (63%). About 31% of those who answered the question on usage time spend four hours or more a day on it.

Trust, however, stays conditional: 48% of respondents only trust AI answers when they can easily validate them. The tool speeds things up, but someone still has to check.

What it changes about the price of a website

Part of the production work (layout, integration, repetitive testing, first drafts of text) goes faster with these tools. That's what we see at Oeuvria, and the logic is simple: fewer hours on repetitive work, a lower production cost.

Be wary of spectacular numbers, though. At the time of writing, we found no independent study measuring how much AI has lowered website prices; most comparisons come from tool vendors or agencies with an interest in telling that story. So we cite none.

What doesn't get cheaper

What it means for a small business

A low price is only good news if it comes from efficiency, not from sloppy work or a recycled template. Three questions to ask any agency:

For our detailed price ranges, see our dedicated article: we don't copy the grid here.

How much does a website cost in Quebec in 2026?

Why Oeuvria's prices are competitive

Because we use modern artificial intelligence tools that let us be fast and efficient, with satisfying results for our clients. The time saved on repetitive work goes back to you in price, without giving up human validation at every step.

Does AI make websites cheaper?

It cuts the time spent on repetitive work, so the production cost of that part. It doesn't replace understanding the need, checking, or maintenance. To our knowledge, no independent study puts a precise figure on the price drop for small businesses to date.

Is a website built with AI help lower quality?

Not by nature. According to the 2026 Stack Overflow survey, 48% of respondents only trust AI when they can easily validate its answers: quality depends on human checking, not on the tool alone.

How can I tell whether an agency really uses AI to lower its prices?

Ask what's included, who checks the work before launch and what happens after delivery. A transparent agency answers clearly; a very low price with no answer to those questions is a warning sign.

Next step

AI changes the cost of building a site, not the need to design it well and check it. Choose an agency that tells you clearly what's included, then book a time slot with us to talk about your project.
